5BR Austin Compound, Casita & High End finishes

I wish I could leave five stars, but unfortunately I can’t. When we arrived, there were 12 bags of smelly food trash left in the garage in 100+ degree heat. The trash cans were already overflowing, with additional garbage on the ground, and the smell filled the entire casita. At the end of our stay, there was still nowhere to dispose of our own trash because none of it had been removed. One upstairs bedroom had no window coverings, creating a major privacy concern. A male resident in the neighboring apartment had a direct view into the bedroom and pool area and spent much of the weekend watching our group of female guests, making everyone uncomfortable. We also requested the pool lights be turned on the first night but never received a response. The property is beautiful, great for large groups, and parking was better than expected. However, because of these issues, we would not stay here again.

We had an amazing stay! The house is gorgeous and super clean. We loved the pool & hot tub. Host were responsive with any questions & concerns. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here with a group of 15 for four nights. The home itself is beautiful, very spacious, thoughtfully decorated, and in a fantastic location. The outdoor spaces were wonderful, the main house stayed cool, the linens and pillows were comfortable, and the kitchen was organized with plenty of dishes and small appliances. The coffee station was a nice touch, and the house was very clean overall, although the cleaning crew was still finishing up about 15 minutes after check-in and the outdoor trash bins were already full when we arrived. The host was responsive whenever we reported issues, and we appreciated that maintenance came out promptly when needed. However, for a home at this price point, there were simply too many preventable problems that should have been addressed before guests arrived. The biggest issue—and one that future guests should absolutely be aware of—was the lack of privacy in some of the bedrooms. One downstairs bedroom only had two curtain panels, leaving larg
