- **Anonymous**: "TL;DR: This would have been a 5-star stay if not for a few minor maintenance issues that were made worse by an unresponsive host.

The house was perfect for our large extended family. It had plenty of space, and the double refrigerators, dishwashers, and laundry appliances made storing food, cleaning up, and keeping up with laundry easy.

The biggest issue was the kitchen. There was only one stove, and only one burner on it worked. We reported it, but no one ever came to fix it. The HVAC also leaked into the hallway, the Wi-Fi was spotty, and the dumpster was so close to the building that flies were constantly around the entrance.

What was most frustrating was the communication. The host never addressed the maintenance issues during our stay, but contacted us three different ways after checkout asking for a review. This property has everything it needs to be a 5-star rental, the maintenance and responsiveness just need to match the quality of the house." (4/5)

The first night, 7/6, the stove repeatedly tripped the breaker, and one guest felt an electrical shock to her hand and arm while trying to use it. We reported it immediately, and the host instructed us not to use the stove again. The host acknowledged  that prior to our arrival he knew the stove was not working properly. Despite this, he did not repair, replace, or disclose it to us before check-in. I followed up again on 7/8 regarding the stove issue, but received no response. At checkout on 7/11, it still had not been repaired. Other issues included a dirty home, a broken half-bath door, flies, trash can odors, a nonworking garbage disposal, not enough bath linens, the dryer vent unconnected which caused the smoke detectors to sound, a slow-draining sink, a dirty hot tub, and water seeping up through floor tiles." When we arrived there was water creeping up from the floor crevices, bathrooms were filthy (used toiletries left in showers and a pimple patch stuck on a shower curtain), dishwasher that smelled spoiled with old food in the bottom of it, a range that kept tripping the breaker and would spark when the breaker was flipped back on between the range and wall which was completely unsafe to use (wasted a lot of food we had purchased beforehand to cut back on eating out), two of the three toasters were inoperable, mold in the showers and on the shower curtains, hot tub was dirty with sand in the seats and bottom, lock on the back door was very hard to get to lock, and the coffee maker leaked. Overall, this property was poorly maintained, poorly cleaned, and had multiple maintenance and safety issues. It fell far below what we expect from an Airbnb, and for the price we paid!" (2/5)
