J contacted me at 3:15 PM while my family and I were traveling from Dallas and informed us that our 4 PM check-in would be delayed until 7 PM. We had groceries and had already been driving for 3 hours. Around 6:45 PM, we were told the property would be delayed even further because it was not ready. We eventually went to the property, where the cleaner was still there and had only cleaned the kitchen. The bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas were not cleaned. My family and I had to wash sheets, clean bathrooms, sweep floors, and help finish cleaning the home. Several exterior door handles were broken, and the grill was extremely dirty and required deep cleaning before use. Overall, the property was not guest-ready, and the communication and management were very poor. Better cleaning, maintenance, and management are needed." (6/5)

I do want to acknowledge that the host was very responsive. Unfortunately, these were long-standing issues that should have been addressed before guests arrived. We booked a clean, safe, and fully functional home, and that is not what we received.
The home’s condition was so far from the listing that we felt completely misled upon arrival. We ultimately left early because the home was unsafe and not suitable for anyone to stay in. This property requires significant cleaning and repairs before hosting guests." (2/5)
