Very disappointing experience. Our reservation was confirmed, but when we arrived late at night, the apartment had not been cleaned (dirt, used towels, rubbish left by previous guests). The host tried to find alternative accommodation but was unsuccessful, so we had to search for a hotel ourselves. Travelling with a child, we only found one at 6 a.m., paying $266 for two nights. Communication was difficult, with multiple people contacting us via Airbnb, WA and phone. A $250 refund was agreed over the phone, but 2.5 weeks later we still have not received it despite reminders. Airbnb is now involved. After cleaning, the apartment was acceptable but dated. The bathroom had no blinds/curtains, so neighbours could see directly inside. Some towels were dirty and fixtures like the toilet paper holder were coming off the wall. Regardless, the main issue was an uncleaned apartment, having to find emergency accommodation ourselves, and still not receiving the refund. I do not recommend.
Poor communication once issues came up had to get Airbnb involved. The apartment had several serious issues: a metal rod was sticking out of the couch (unsafe and uncomfortable), the shower handle was broken, and the bathroom blinds were broken so neighbors could see you shower. On top of that, the bed sheets were dirty. Smoke alarm peeping Not what we expected from an Airbnb. Would not stay here again.
