Travel back to the 50s- Renovated Motel Gem

Terrible place I got there very dirty bugs in the room bed had stains look nothing like the pictures if you want a really ghetto room then book it but i’ll never stay there unresponsive host very bad if I could give negative stars i would

If looking for a good value place with a few compromises this is the place to book if seeing St Augustine for the first time. Unfortunately there are no public buses that can take you into the historic district so you'll have to walk 40 minutes just to get there (no bicycles were available from the motel during my stay so check before booking). Its a nice themed motel with character, its comfortable and safe. Wifi was not good during my stay however the host was proactive and did request a wifi technician to look into it. This place is on the main road so its a straight shot to historic district which is nice but there was quite a bit of traffic noise from inside especially with the train passing by (early hours). The amenities in the room all worked, the bed was comfy but did notice a few ants, two small millipedes & a cockroach or two in the bathroom / main area which is kinda common in florida apparently & found some wall damage behind carpet too. Great hosts & a good cheap stay.

Loved staying here! The room was perfect and just the right amount of space for our short stay. The in-room AC unit worked wonderfully, and the bedroom and bathroom were super clean and comfortable. There is parking right outside the door, and it was close enough to pretty much everything!
